So we’re less than a week away from a gaming bonanza, with the Kinect and the PlayStation Move out in the stores, with Call of Duty:Black Ops, Fifa 2011, Football Manager 2011, Fable 3, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, etc, all in stock, you better check your local Walmart store hours, mark a couple of GameStops near you and be ready for the onslaught! Here are the good deals made public so far for Black Friday:

You’ll have to wake up real early to catch the deals for GameStop as they will only be available from 5am to noon, and if you have any recollection from last year, you might want to show up before 8am, after that chances are most GameStops will look like ghost towns with empty shelves and traumatized sales clerks:

Three words, While Supplies Last! This is Walmart, it won’t just be gamers trying to get in the doors as early as possible. This will be a war and it won’t be pretty. Gamers have a kind of ethics internalized after so many hours spent playing games which incline us to reward effort and merit. Shoppers don’t give a fuck! Especially Walmart shoppers. But a deal’s a deal, and Walmart never disappoints:

For those who just can’t stand rubbing shoulder with anxious teenagers, angry gamers and frenetic soccer moms, there’s a way to still enjoy the good deals of Black Friday without dealing with Black Friday. Amazon will have deals before the 26, starting today, but nothing major, more like your usual ongoing deals like “Buy one game get 40% off a second.” Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
