A nice walk in the park, a quiet romantic dinner, maybe even snuggling up for a romantic comedy, these are some of the many activities couples often engage in. The Console vs. PC debate has continued since the dawn of gaming – Almost anyway. I have friends that often debate with one another as to why they stick firmly to a single gaming rig. For me, the console has always been my gaming platform of choice, at first I never gave much thought why that was the case but after another recent argument over which is better, I decided to compose a short list of why I’m a console gamer.
You’ve all donated to the Child’s Play charity, right? Well if not here’s another chance to do so, and it comes in the form of a video game marathon dedicated to the most iconic figure in the industry.

The University of Nevada, Reno has been doing some interesting things lately with video games. They are aimed at helping activity development for the blind.
According to the Examiner Wayne Gretzky one of the greatest athletes in hockey history will be featured in a new video game for the Nintendo Wii. The game dubbed, NHL Slapshot, will follow Gretzky from the age of 12 starting off in Bantam and Junior leagues and eventually moving up into the NHL.
Super Mario Sunshine was a game that many fans of the Mario series were very disappointed in. It lacked the overall appeal that its predecessor, Super Mario 64, had. It was sadly considered the long awaited sequel to Super Mario 64. It wouldn’t be until November 12, 2007 that fans would finally get what they had come to expect from any Mario game; a fun, colorful, pleasurable experience. Super Mario Galaxy would go on to become one of the highest ranked Wii games to date. Over the years the media has had somewhat of a love hate relationship with Nintendo’s Wii. One minute it’s the greatest console ever and the next it’s nothing more than a passing fad. This story was originally used as an academic paper for a Journalism course I was taking awhile ago, hence the embedded citations and works cited at the end of the piece. I included them to show that I actually did a considerable amount of research when writing this story.
Nintendo has had a long and well documented fight against video game piracy.
