You’ve all donated to the Child’s Play charity, right?  Well if not here’s another chance to do so, and it comes in the form of a video game marathon dedicated to the most iconic figure in the industry.

The guys over at the Mario Marathon website will be conducting their third go around of this fundraiser designed to support the Penny Arcade charity, Child’s Play.  The charity buys video games for hospitals in an effort to help improve the stay of children while they are there.  The three guys conducting the marathon, Brian “Shirt Guy” Brinegar, John “Couch Guy” Groth, and Chris “Slouch Guy” Deckard will stay up playing Mario games until their donation mark has been reached.

This year’s Mario Marathon will begin on June 25 at 11:00am EST.  There are 809 nine levels spanning 9 different Mario games for the trio to traverse.  Currently the charity has earned a little over $2,500, meaning that at the moment the group will only be playing up to 397th level.  Last year’s marathon netted over $29,000, so there’s still a long way to go to reach that mark.

There will also be a number of contests running during the event allowing both donators and viewers the chance to win some swag such as Mario collectables and autographed Penny Arcade comic books.

Donations can be made via PayPal.
